Biman to resume flights on Dhaka-Singapore route from Oct 1
After months of shutdown due to the pandemic Biman Bangladesh Airlines will resume flying on the Dhaka-Singapore route from October 1.
The national flag carrier will initially operate one weekly flight (Thursday) on the Dhaka-Singapore-Dhaka route, Biman Bangladesh's Managing Director and CEO Mokabbir Hossain said in a WhatsApp message today.
Passengers will be able to purchase ticket through mobile app, Biman's website, travel agents or Biman's sales centre, the message added.
So far, Biman has resumed its regular flight operations on London, Kuala Lumpur, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Doha routes.
The national airliner is scheduled to resume its flight operation to Jeddah and Riyadh from October 1.
After resumption of flight operation from Dhaka starting June 16, a total of 14 airlines including two air operators of the country -- Biman Bangladesh Airlines and US-Bangla Airlines--are operating 48 weekly flights to eight countries.
