MP: 5 labourers killed, 7 injured in road accident in Ujjain

At least 5 labourers were killed and several others were injured when an SUV carrying them collided head-on with a truck in Datana Matana area of Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain district. Assistant SI Parmanand Singh said that the labourers were going to Neemuch when the vehicle collided with an oncoming truck in Narvar police station area at around 4am on September 26. Tehsildar Yogesh Meshram said, 'The victims were all residents of Katni and were moving to Neemuch for contractual labour work when the accident took place.' Ujjain district hospital’s Dr Vikram Raghuvanshi told reporters that eight persons have been admitted and given primary treatment. They would be requiring multiple surgeries and orthopaedics were examining and assessing their situation.
