HUBBALLI: Former Minister and Gadag MLA H K Patil tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection, the MLA himself declared his health status on Twitter on Monday.

In the tweet, Patil said “ I have been tested positive for Covid-19, I am asymptomatic but quarantined myself for 10 days.” He also requested those who came in contact with him in the last few days to get themselves tested as a precaution.

His close sources confirmed to TOI that the MLA is admitted at Manipal Hospital on Old Airport Road in Bengaluru. His personal assistant told, he is doing fine and will be discharged from the hospital soon.
Patil visited Mumbai on September 25, after being appointed as incharge of Maharashtra state from AICC, he had a marathon meeting with the local leaders and took part in the felicitation ceremony during his maiden visit after assuming charge.
After returning to the state, Patil gave his samples in Bengaluru, and his results came positive on Monday, said close sources of Patil.
