Four people have been arrested after police discovered a large amount of cannabis plants in a home.

Officers from West Midlands Police also recovered weapons and cash following the operation at a property in Harborne.

The force said arrests were made at the scene - despite suspects seeking to escape through a window.

Taking to Twitter, Harborne Police wrote: "Officers from Harborne NHT recovered a large amount of cannabis plants, weapons and cash from an address in Harborne and four people were arrested at the scene, despite trying to escape through a window!"

The raid was hailed by those on social media. One wrote: "Amazing find. Well executed and thank you for keeping us safe."

While Supt Sallie Churchill, for Birmingham West, added: "Great work team!"
