Police stopped a suspected thief - and found CS spray, cannabis and baton inside his car.
Officers swooped in Tuttle Hill, Nuneaton, after spotting a vehicle believed to be involved in a theft from a lorry in Queen’s Road.
After stopping the car, they found the items inside.
A 57-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of theft after a bag containing cash was stolen from a lorry in Queen’s Road on Wednesday, September 23.
He was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm (the CS spray), possession of an offensive weapon and possession of cannabis.
The suspect has been released under investigation by Warwickshire Police while enquiries continue.
