HYDERABAD: The Telangana jana Samithi on Monday formally announced that its party president M Kodandaram will make his electoral debut from Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam graduates MLC constituency elections.
TJS vice president PL Vishweshwar Rao made the announcement. The TJS appealed to the voters to ensure a thumping victory for Kodandaram who can question the government of its wrong doings and raise the issues concerning people in the Telangana Legislative Council.
Kodandaram has already been campaigning in Nalgonda meeting the employees, graduates, students and the unemployed.
He has been attacking the TRS government for failing to fil up over a lakh vacancies in the government sector.
The TJS has sought the support of Congress, TDP, CPI, CPM, and other parties and organisations to support Kodandaram as a consensus candidate. These political parties said they would discuss the issue in their respective core committee meetings and get back to the TJS soon.
The term of the sitting MLC candidates Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam and Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahbubnagar will end on March 29, 2021. Keeping it in the view, the election commission has also started the voter registration process. For voter registration, a person should have completed graduation before November 1, 2017. The voting registration process ends on November 11 and the final voter list will be announced on January 18.
