On Day 1, traffic smooth on Mathura Road

NEW DELHI: Traffic remained smooth on the first day Delhi Jal Board started its pipeline work on Mathura Road and closed the stretch from Bhogal to Ashram.
The stretch will be closed till 6am on Monday. Ashram Chowk, the intersection of Mathura Road and Ring Road, is one of the biggest and busiest crossings in south Delhi. Public Works Department is constructing an underpass at Ashram Chowk.Traffic officials said that the traffic situation was normal on the first day as it was a second Saturday and commuters were lesser than usual.
