Thane: Shops in Ulhasnagar allowed to open till 9pm

ULHASNAGAR: Amending it's earlier circular on phase wise relaxation in Ulhasnagar under 'Mission Begin Again', the Ulhasnagar municipal corporation on Thursday issued order allowing all shops in the city, except malls and market complexes, to function for full working hours till 9pm, instead of the 9 am-7pm slot allowed so far.
In the circular issued by UMC chief Dr Raja Dayanidhi, all shops from Friday will be allowed to operate till 9pm except in containment zones.
The Covid-19 cases are brought under control since over a month in Ulhasnagar city. On Thursday, city reported fresh 21 patients taking total numbers of patients 9764 including so far 321 deaths.
The shopkeepers as well as opposition leaders from BJP and MNS welcomed move of civic body who for long times were demanding to open shops till 9pm.
