Four killed as bike hits auto in Malda

Malda: Four persons, including three of a family, were killed in an accident when a speeding motorcycle hit an auto rickshaw at Malda’s Samsi on NH-81.The incident took place on Thursday night.
Following the head-on collision, the rider, Mojammel Haque (22), was killed on the spot. Riju Mandal, riding pillion, was seriously wounded and taken to Samsi Rural Hospital along with injured passengers of the auto rickshaw.
Doctors declared Taslima Biwi (35), Sukri Biwi (40) and Aslam Sk (12) dead while the seriously injured auto rickshaw driver, Islam Sk, was referred to Malda Medical College and Hospital.
