129th Manipur Police Raising Day celebrated in districts

Spt/Moreh/Jiri/Kak/Bpr, October 19 2020: The 129th Manipur Police Raising Day was observed at Senapati, Jiribam, Kakching, Bishnupur and Moreh, today.

Senapati
Senapati police celebrated the day at the District headquarters, Senapati Reserve Line.

In the presence of all ranks and files of the district police, M Pradip Singh, Superintendent of Police, Senapati unfurled the Manipur Police flag while the parade gave the guard of honour.

The theme for this year raising day is "Service always everywhere".

At the function, M Pradip Singh acknowledged the tireless efforts of the district police in curbing and maintaining law and order in the district.

The SP further congratulated the district police for their fight against COVID-19.Though few positive results were found among the district police, the SP appreciated the selfless sacrifices made by the district police in the fight against COVID-19.The SP also lauded the district police for sincerity and dedication towards the betterment of all.

Jiribam
Jiribam Police also celebrated Manipur Police Rising Day at District Head Quarters,Jiribam.

Celebrating the day, the district police presented sweets and gifts to the public.

On the occasion, Jiribam SP, Moirangthem Mubi Singh urged all to wear face masks, maintain a safe distance from others and regularly sanitise their hands whenever venturing outside to beat the pandemic.

He also cautioned that people found violating the SOPs for COVID-19 will be booked accordingly.

Kakching
Celebrating the 129th Manipur Police Raising Day at Wangoo Lamkhai Out Post, a guest room for Addl SPs and DSPs were inaugurated by SP Kakching, Victoria Yengkhom, today.

The room is established for a short stay of touring Addl SPs in the Sugnu sub-division to supervise the law and order situation there.

A few police personnel were also given cash rewards with citations for their efforts in acquiring land for the construction of DHQ, the establishment of Arms Kote, Reserve Line, Control Room etc.

Bishnupur
Bishnupur police too observed Manipur Police Raising Day at its Headquarter, today.

The observance began by unfurling the flag of the State police.

SP Bishnupur, Additional SP (LO) attended the programme as presidium members.

Continuing the function, a few personnel of the district police were felicitated.

The police personnel are SI Th Bismuth of Nambol PS (Best IO - Trophy, certificate and a cash award of Rs 15,000), SI Neingboi Gangte Women PS (2nd best IO - Trophy, certificate and Rs 10000); SI Kh Premkumar (Moirang PS) (3rd best IO Trophy, certificate and Rs 5000).Nambol Police Station was declared the best performing Police Station of the year while the best performing CDO team was given to ASI Haridas.

Moreh
A similar celebration was also held at Moreh Police Station.

At the function, ASP (Ops), Moreh Police M Amit unfurled the flag of Manipur police.

SDPO L Meghabarna, OC Dilip Kumar, OC CDO Pushpendra also took part in the celebration among others.
