Noida cases cross 16,000 mark, 122 added in Ghaziabad

NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: Gautam Budh Nagar reported 124 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 16, 037. Also, 220 people were recovered in the past 24 hours. According to the state report, there are 1,133 active cases in the district while 65 people have succumbed to the pandemic. In total, 14,839 people have recovered from the disease in the district so far.
The district administration also released a new list of 291 containment zones on Monday out of which 274 containment zones are in category 1 and 17 are in category 2.
The neighbouring district of Ghaziabad also reported 122 new Covid cases on Monday, taking the total tally rose to 17, 211. Along with this, 87 patients were discharged in the past 24 hours. Altogether 15,932 people have been cured from the disease so far while 81 deaths have been reported from the district. At present, 1, 198 people are undergoing treatment in various hospitals and home isolation.
The recovery rate of Ghaziabad stands at 92.5% while the case fatality rate is 0.47%.TNN
