Two shops gutted in fire in Dakshina Kannada
A hardware, paint shop and a bakery reduced to ashes after a major fire broke out at Vittal town in Dakshina Kannada district on Tuesday.
The incident took place at ground floor of KJ Towers near Vittal KSRTC bus stand on Tuesday morning.

The incident took place at ground floor of KJ Towers near Vittal KSRTC bus stand on Tuesday morning. Eyewitnesses told TOI that the first fire broke out at a paint and hardware shop which later spread to the adjacent bakery.
Though locals tried to douse fire but were unable to do so.The fire tenders who arrived at the spot brought the situation under control.
A case has been registered at Vittal police station.
