Five ‘Maoist’ posters found in Jhargram

Five ‘Maoist’ posters found in Jhargram
Jhargram: Handwritten ‘Maoist’ posters have surfaced yet again in Jhargram, this time in Balijuri village area, a fortnight after chief minister Mamata Banerjee at an administrative meeting asked police to beef up surveillance in the district. The CM had sent out the alert after three such posters were found at Belpahari’s Bhulabheda on September 4.
Jamboni police on Tuesday morning spotted the five posters pasted on the walls of Kansai canal.
Written with red ink on white paper and purportedly undersigned by the CPI(Maoist), they primarily warn the “corrupt” village pradhan and an engineer. Some also issue a warning to Trinamool area secretary Joydeb Mullck, a police volunteer and two contractors.
“We have found the five posters and started an inquiry,” said Jhargram SP Amit Kumar Bharat Rathore.
