Uttar Pradesh: Seeking VIP treatment, BJP MP BP Saroj's guard thrashes cop in Jaunpur

VARANASI: Private security guard in the fleet of BJP MP from Machhlishehar BP Saroj thrashed a traffic cop to seek passage for VIP movement near Madiyahu police station in Jaunpur district on Thursday.
Angered over it locals stopped both vehicles of fleet and tried to pull the assailant. MP's vehicle somehow managed to escape.
SP Jaunpur Rajkaran Nayyar said that on the complaint of traffic constable, an FIR has been lodged against the person who assaulted him and investigation is on.
Police said that traffic near Madiyahu police station crossing had been stopped as a religious procession Ramrath was passing through it. After Ramrath crossed the area, traffic personnel started regulating stranded vehicles. In the meantime the security guard reached near traffic cops and sought reason for not paving way for VIP movement on priority, they said.
