MUMBAI: Palghar sessions court public prosecutor Deepak Tare (59) succumbed to Covid-19 on Wednesday. He was attending court till the end of September.
Tare, who had over 100 convictions to his credit, had given his swab sample for testing on September 28. After testing positive he was admitted to the Palghar rural hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in Palghar.

On October 4, he was moved to the Seven Hills hospital in Andheri (east) where he breathed his last on Wednesday.
His colleagues in the court said that Tare had come in contact with some accused who had tested positive for Covid. Soon after he developed symptoms he got tested. He had diabetics.
