Hyderabad end hat-trick of defeat in IPL 2020

Sunrisers Hyderabad ended their hat-trick of defeats in IPL 2020 with a convincing 8-wicket win over the Rajasthan Royals in Dubai as Manish Pandey (83) and Vijay Shankar (52) stitched an unbroken 140-run partnership to help SRH chase down RR's 154 for six.

The comfortable eight-wicket win lifted the team to the fifth spot in the eight-team competition with eight points from 10 games. Pandey scored 83 not out off 47 balls with 4 boundaries and 8 sixes while Shankar hit 52 not out off 51 balls to be the perfect foil for his partner.

SRH middle order and their playoff chances have received CPR: Sehwag

Earlier, SRH produced a splendid bowling performance to restrict Rajasthan Royals to 154 for 7 in 20 overs which is the lowest score managed by a team batting first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the tournament this season.

"I think he sat and binge-watched all the Veeru Ki Baithak episodes. Good for him. Now he will get a warranty, Vijay Shankar played a good supporting role and became Vijay 'Run' Kar. Now it finally seems like Hyderabad's middle order and their playoff chances have both been given CPR," Sehwag added.
