LUCKNOW: Wife of a deputy inspector general of police, currently posted at Police Training School, Unnao, allegedly committed suicide at her Lucknow residence in
Sushant Golf City on Saturday.
The victim Pushpa Prakash (36) lived with her three daughters aged 13, 11, and seven. Her husband Chandra Prakash-II is a member of
Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to probe into Hathras incident.

Suresh Chandra Rawat said that as per preliminary information, around 11am, Pushpa Prakash locked herself inside her room and then hanged herself.
"In the meantime, Prakash who was heading to his office stopped headed back to home and inform the police," said Rawat.
Later, Inspector Sushant Golf City-Sachin Singh and
ADCP south zone reached the spot and took the body to RML hospital.
The doctors declared her brought dead. Later, DCP East, Charu Nigam, told newsmen that Pushpa allegedly committed suicide while the body was being sent for post-mortem examination.
