WHO IS MADHURI YADAV?

Madhuri Yadav is the daughter of CM Surya Pratap Yadav (played by Paritosh Sand) in Mirzapur 2. We first see her when Munna is asked to manage a rally of the party and Madhuri adresses the public. She is one of the new characters introduced in Mirzapur 2 and will most likely have a pivotal role in next season.

RESEMBLANCE BETWEEN MIRZAPUR'S MADHURI AND RAJNEETI'S INDU

Lively at first, fierce later

In Mirzapur, we first see Madhuri Yadav adressing the public at a rally. She tells Munna that she has no interest in politics and is only doing so for her father, who is the CM. She is then seen passing time with Munna and grows close to him. Being a widow, she isn't allowed to wear colours but loves living life. In Rajneeti, Katrina Kaif is the lively Indu at first who dreams about Samar (Ranbir Kapoor) and is in love with him. She too, like Madhuri, isn't keen on joining politics. However, circumstances change for Madhuri as well as Indu. Madhuri loses her father and Indu loses her husband, and then we see fiercer, sharper versions of them.

The political standing

In Mirzapur, Madhuri becomes the CM after cleverly proposing her name in front of the party, much to the astonishment of her father-in-law, Akandananda Tripathi (Pankaj Tripathi). In Rajneeti too, Indu becomes the CM towards the end of the film and shows remarkable character growth.

Marriage of convenience

There are similarities in the way Madhuri and Indu are married off as well. In Mirzapur, Madhuri is a widow who develops an intimate relationship with Munna. This worries her father, the CM, who says that it is better to get the widower daughter married off if she starts a relationship with a man. On the other hand, Kaleen Bhaiya wants to get his son, Munna, married to Madhuri to expand his political power.

However gradually, Madhuri and Munna, as well as Indu and Prithvi (Arjun Rampal) fall in love.

The widow image

In Mirzapur, Madhuri plays the role of a widow from the moment she is introduced. In Rajneeti, Indu becomes a widow when her husband is killed. Both use their widow image for their politicial benefit.

ISHA TALWAR AND KATRINA KAIF

Not just their characters, Isha Talwar and Katrina Kaif show striking similarities in their characters as actors well. Be it their style of walking, manner of adressing the public, the use of their eyes or overall appearance, you can't help but notice the striking similarities between the two.
