Another four people have died and a further 183 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Surrey, according to data released today (Sunday, October 25).

Public Health England figures show there have now been 9,679 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the county since the start of the pandemic.

Four new Covid-19 related deaths at hospitals across Surrey were reported.

One was recorded at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust on October 23 and another three at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.

The biggest increase in cases overnight was again in Elmbridge, where 28 new infections were recorded, followed by Mole Valley with a rise of 24.

Nationally, a further 19,790 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the UK in the last 24 hours. It brings the total number of cases to 873,800.

The Government also said a further 151 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19. This brings the UK total to 44,896.
