Andrews falls just short of state

The outstanding cross country career of Marshall senior Mya Andrews came to an end on Oct. 24.

After qualifying for the WIAA Division 2 Winneconne Sectional, Andrews fell one position shy of qualifying as an individual for her third state meet. Andrews’ 5K time of 21 minutes, 12.5 seconds was good for 13th place overall, but not fast enough to overcome Omro’s Julia Koch, the last of five individual finishers who were not part of either state qualifying team (Winneconne and Wautoma).
