Swallows FC head coach Brandon Truter on Sunday said his side gave a good account of themselves in a hard-fought 1-1 draw away from home against Stellenbosch on their return to the Premiership.
Ruzaigh Gamildien opened the scoring at the Danie Craven Stadium with a 16th minute penalty before Robyn Johannes ensured a share of the spoils with his successful spot kick with 27 minutes on the clock.
"I think we gave a good account of ourselves," Truter said post-match. "When you play away from home, normally you're the team who plays for a draw so I think it's a fair result.
"We made a mistake at the back while we forced a mistake on the other side of the pitch and that's our game.
"Regards to our preparation and conditioning we still need a bit more time and I think we'll get better as we go along but it's a first point in the DStv Premiership and we'll take it.
Swallows next host Bloemfontein Celtic at Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday in a league clash.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
