“we're rounding the turn, we're doing great.”

Trump is now even more out of touch with the majority of Americans than he's ever been.

IF - IF - he actually did have the virus and recovered, he was able to do so because he had the best healthcare possible and did not have to pay a penny for it.

Unlike the dozens of millions of Americans suffering from Covid45 because of the ongoing blunders of a president who's clueless.

And who cares nothing about the country and its citizens. Only about himself.

Who knew that the corner Trump keep talking about rounding was actually the edge of a cliff? Then again, since the White House has given up and thrown in the towel, it's pretty much to be expected.

Following Trump's lead, many "Alwaystrumpers" may find, when they turn "that corner", they have bumped into Covid without a helicopter or Walter Reed.

The Democrats as well, a lot of people worried a Biden Presidency could spell more lockdowns and no one wants that.

As every single Washington politician, add the media pundits to that as well.

And Biden would do what? More lockdowns? Work on a cure for the virus, press people on wearing masks and do social distancing? Yes, Biden can magically snap his fingers and make this go away, at the same time, Dems take off the mask when the camera is not looking until they get caught and called on it.

And who cares nothing about the country and its citizens. Only about himself

As if the Democrat leaders in CA, NY and Michigan care about people. ROFL

He can't, but he can do a whole lot better than Trump is doing. Trump is the worst possible leader to have in a pandemic. For him, the 220,000 deaths are a statistical inconveniences, but nothing more.

was 400,000 by Thanksgiving, then by the end of the year, now less than that by Feb 1.

But wait, doesnt corona entirely stop once Biden is elected?

with a widely cited model from the University of Washington projecting about 386,000 dead by Feb 1.

Thanks, Trump.

It is terrible timing. A conspiracy theorist loved by the US rightwing, a group not far off the Taliban in terms of belief in science, is a recipe for disaster

It’s mind boggling to listen to the continued denial of the pandemic by the inept current occupant of the White House.

He fooled some of the people most of the time and his enablers, in and out of government, insist on disbursing fake news, disinformation and misinformation about this killer virus.

”And we’ll see what happens” is not policy making, it’s lunacy.

Deaths per day from the coronavirus in the U.S. are on the rise again, just as health experts had feared, and cases are climbing in practically every state, despite assurances from President Donald Trump over the weekend that “we're rounding the turn, we're doing great.” With Election Day just over a week away, average deaths per day across the country are up 10% over the past two weeks, from 721 to nearly 794 as of Sunday, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. Newly confirmed infections per day are rising in 47 states, and deaths are up in 34.

And one more falsehood from the Trump supporters here bites the dust...."The death rate is declining"....

Trump holds a supers-spreader event that infects over 40 people at the White House - and then he infects his wife and son. Some folks learn from their mistakes - but we learn yesterday the White House is infected again and five of Pence's staff test positive.

And Trump says he can protect us?

Done - finished - over. Bye-Don...

One thing about Covid that never has added up is the relative lack of Covid deaths among the homeless and prison populations. Both of these populations, because of their lifestyles and habits, are generally extremely unhealthy and have lots of comorbidities. Why are so few dying? Seems like they would be dropping like canaries in a coal mine.

I do not think the homeless populations are monitored very much. And generally I would assume that living rough takes out those with fragile health on its own for many reasons, so a Corona infection would have little impact on an already vetted population.

And prison populations are generally young and not overweight, making them a low risk group.

What are you basing this comment on? Where is this information about homeless and inmates?

If it's accuracy in predictions you're after, how do you feel about "it'll be gone by the end of April"?

But wait, doesnt corona entirely stop once Biden is elected?

No. Why do you think that this would be the case?
