LETTER: Having a laugh at your expense

A reader discusses politics.

Nigel Farage

The Leave voters believed that they were voting for men who mixed with the ordinary bloke.

In the USA Donald Trump’s supporters believe he is one of them, a man who would stand up for the hard-working tax payer. Nigel Farage told the EU that he hadn’t benefited from an offshore fund when a company of which he was sole director had over a half million in its offshore fund.

Dominic Cummings has been let off between £20,000 to £50,000 in back- dated council tax on two properties on his father’s farm. Donald Trump paid $750 USA taxes while paying nearly $200,000 taxes in China.

Boris Johnson who said he couldn’t manage on a salary of £140,000 had to be pushed hard into making Greater Manchester a better offer.

If Andy Burnham hadn’t pushed, Boris would have rubbed his hands with glee at having Manchester folk over.

Nationalists your heroes are having a good old laugh at your expense.
