HYDERABAD:
Telangana Congress treasurer
Gudur Narayana Reddy on Wednesday said that the farmers are waiting to inflict a defeat on the ruling TRS in the
Dubbak Assembly constituency going to by-poll on November 3.
“The TRS government has neither made an assessment of the damage and loss incurred by the farmers due to recent heavy rains and floods to their crops nor has given compensation to them towards crop damages,” Narayana Reddy said.
Stating that the people are vexed with the misrule of chief minister
K Chandrasekhar Rao, he exuded confidence of the Congress registering a thumping win in Dubbak by-poll.
“Also, people are angry with the TRS government for its failure to effectively tackle the
Covid-19 pandemic. Despite repeated pleas, the Covid-19 treatment has not been included in the Arogyasri scheme,” he alleged.
The TRS government agreed to purchase the maize by offering Rs 1850 MSP per quintal only after the Congress exerted pressure on the KCR-government, he said.
