Shah Rukh Khan as producer for new film Love Hostel, starring Vikrant Massey and Sanya Malhotra

Vikrant Massey and Sanya Malhotra's upcoming film, which is going to be directed by Shankar Raman, has been titled Love Hostel. The film will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan along with Manish Mundra, the actor announced today. A thriller, Love Hostel will also star Bobby Deol in pivotal role. The film will go on the floors early next year. Before the shooting begins, the actors will be undergoing several acting workshops as part of their prep.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to social media to announce the news. Sharing He wrote, "SRK ANNOUNCES NEW FILM... #SRK's #RedChillies collaborates with Manish Mundra... About Love Hostel

Love Hostel is a crime-thriller set in North India. Sanya Malhotra and Vikrant Massey play lovers in the film who fight the entire world for love. In a statement, the makers explained the film as, "Set against the pulsating backdrop of rustic North India, Love Hostle traces the volatile journey of a spirited young couple, being hunted by a ruthless mercenary. The star-crossed loves take on the entire world and then more in search of their fairytale ending. This is a survival tale in the game of power, money and principles, with mayhem and bloodshed."

Bobby Deol in a serious role

Going by the synopsis of the film provided by the makers, it seems that Bobby Deol is going to play a serious role in Love hostel. The actor was last seen on the big screen in the comedy film Housefull 4, along with Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde, among others. Bobby Deol recently made his digital debut with web series Ashram and Class of 83. In both of the series, he plays exciting roles. His performances have been praised in the web series. After the success of the first season of Ashram, he is ready to come up with its second season.

Who is Shankar Raman?

Shankar Raman is a National Award-winning cinematographer. He made his directorial debut with 2017 thriller Gurgaon. He won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Urdu for his film Harud. He bagged many international awards at Asian Film Awards and Durban International Film Festival for his cinematography in Frozen (2007). Some of his notable works as a cinematographer include movies like Peepli (Live), Rocky Handsome and most recently, Mukkabaaz. He also directed several episodes for Leila, a dystopian drama starring Huma Qureshi in the lead role.
