Medical practitioner says Windies will have to continue sending large delegations on tours

Voice of medical practitioner Dr Akshai Mansingh

Medical practioner Dr Akshai Mansingh says the West Indies will have to continue sending large delegations to tours and other international assignments for the foreseeable future in an effort to minimize injuries in squads.

Over the next three years, the West Indies will be playing in the T20 World Cup in 2021 and 2022 alongside the ICC Cricket Super League and potentially the 2023 World Cup.

Mansingh feels having a deeper squad can help long term. Mansingh says some players may also have to skip a few T20 leagues across the globe in order to extend their careers.

The West Indies will next be in action next month against New Zealand in a three match T20 series and a two match test series.
