Irrfan's son, Babil Khan, shared a throwback photo on Instagram.

Irrfan's son, Babil Khan, took to Instgram on Thursday (October 29) and remembered his father. Irrfan, who passed exactly six months ago on April 29, was one of the finest talents in Bollywood. In the picture shared by Babil, the father-son duo is standing on a boat, looking downwards. Both are in winter outfits and while Irrfan is seen wearing a beanie, Babil has a muffler around his neck.

FANS SAY MUFASA AND SIMBA

Commenting on Babil Khan’s photo, fans remembered their favourite actor, Irrfan, and wrote heartfelt messages. “Mufasa and Simba,” wrote one fan, comparing the father and son duo to The Lion King’s Mufasa and Simba. Another fan wrote, “He is alive through you Babil...keep posting such pics to continue making is believe he is out there with you (sic).”

IRRFAN BREATHED HIS LAST SIX MONTHS AGO

Irrfan breathed his last on April 29 this year. He was admitted to the hospital a day before due to a colon infection. The actor had been battling cancer since 2018. His death came as a huge shock for the entire country and tributes started pouring in as soon as news broke. Irrfan is survived by his wife, Sutapa Sikdar, and sons, Babil and Ayan.

IRRFAN’S LAST RELEASE

Throughout his illustrious career, Irrfan won hearts with his performances in films like Piku, The Lunchbox, Qarib Qarib Single, and The Namesake. Not just Bollywood, Irrfan was an acclaimed Hollywood actor as well.

Irrfan’s last release, Angrezi Medium, released in March this year, right before the novel coronavirus pandemic forced theatres to shut down across the country. As a result, the film’s theatrical run was cut short after which it released digitally, on Disney+Hotstar. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepak Dobriyal and Radhika Madan also play key roles in the film.
