Stock market update: Nifty Bank index slips nearly 2%; Kotak Mahindra Bank dips 3%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Bank index was trading with losses at 12:25PM (IST) on Friday.

While Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 2.94 per cent), Bank of Baroda (down 2.91 per cent), Federal Bank (down 2.06 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 2.05 per cent) and Bandhan Bank (down 1.81 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Bank index was trading 1.52 per cent down at 23726.8 around 12:25PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 103.15 points at 11567.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 389.21 points at 39360.64.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Indian Oil Corp, YES Bank and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Blue Dart Exp, Vaibhav Global, Adani Green Energy Ltd., Route Mobile Ltd. and Tanla Solutions hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mittal Life Style Ltd., Shubhlaxmi Jewel Art Ltd., Vikas Proppant & Granite Ltd., GE Power India Ltd., Sumit Woods Ltd., Jump Networks Ltd., SKIL Infrastructure Ltd., Madhya Pradesh Today Media Ltd., SS Infrastructure Development Consultants Ltd. and Shrenik Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
