    BlackSoil to deploy Rs 50-70 crore in real estate projects

    New Delhi: BlackSoil, a venture debt platform focused on structured and real estate debt, is looking to deploy Rs 50-70 crore in projects in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, a senior company executive said.
    The company, in 2018, had raised Rs 320 crore residential real estate focused SEBI registered category II debt fund called Walton Street BlackSoil real estate debt fund to invest in markets such as Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. and have deployed majority of the fund.

    “Post lockdown, we have been receiving a lot a requests from developers and are in the final stages of deploying this amount. A lot of good deals are coming and since real estate is a very local market, we are focusing on Bengaluru and Hyderabad,” said Ankur Bansal, Co-founder and Director, at BlackSoil.

    BlackSoil, which has been co-investing with HNIs and family offices for quite some time now has been witnessing this rise in demand over the last few months.
