FIR against 2 cops for loot in Amethi

LUCKNOW: A local court has ordered an FIR for robbery against police sub inspector Upendra Singh and a constable posted at Shivratanganj police station in Amethi district. The court order came on a petition filed by one Shrikant Tripathi allleging he was stopped on the pretext of checking on September 22 and deprived of cash and belongings.
Tripathi, a businessman, said his rivals Raghvendra Mishra and Rajendra Mishra stopped and started misbehaving with him near Maheshpur Majre in Shivratanganj police station area.
“When I approached sub-inspector Upendra Singh, he hurled abuses and looted my belongings. When I said I will complain then a police constable also joined them and thrashed me badly,” said Tripathi.
