Six bogies of a goods train derailed between Patiyali and Ganjdundwara on Kanpur-Kasganj route in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj district in the wee hours of Tuesday.

The derailment took place between Patiyali -Ganjdundwara at around 4am.
KANPUR: At least six bogies of a goods train derailed between Patiyali and Ganjdundwara on Kanpur-Kasganj route in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj district in the wee hours of Tuesday.
No injury or casualty was reported in the accident.
Kasganj station master BS Meena said, "The incident occurred when the goods train was heading towards Mathura from Kanpur. Six of its bogies jumped off the track between Patiyali -Ganjdundwara at around 4am on Tuesday".
"No loss of life or injury was reported in the mishap and senior officials have been apprised about the incident.
The rail traffic would be resumed soon as there is minimal traffic on this route owing to cancellation of several trains in view of Pandemic guidelines," the station master added.
A senior official, meanwhile told TOI, "The incident caused financial loss, but the exact figure is yet to be assessed. A probe is on to ascertain the cause behind the derailment".
Earlier, four wagons of a goods train had derailed near Lalpur crossing on Kanpur-Farrukhabad rail route in Billhaur area of the district on Oct 20.
