PATNA:
Colonel Tamojeet Biswas took over as the
new principal of
Sainik School Nalanda on November 2. The post had become vacant after the transfer of Col MI Hussain.
Hailing from Tripura, Col Biswas was commissioned in the Army Education Corps on June 12, 1993. He has a long experience of education and administrative work in various military training institutes. He has a Master of Education (MEd) degree along with Master’s degree in Physics and Psychology.
He has served as an instructor in Army Education Core Training College in addition to serving as the principal in Sainik School Bijapur in Karnataka and
Rashtriya Military School, Bangalore. Before joining Sainik School Nalanda, Col Biswas served at Officers Training Academy in Gaya as a senior instructor and head of education department. He has been awarded with the commendation card by General Officer Commanding in Chief for his remarkable and meritorious service.
Colonel Biswas said he is delighted to come to Nalanda — the world famous ancient seat of learning. He said the school would continue in its pursuit of excellence in all spheres of education as well as military training.
