Hindon-Kalaburagi flights to take off from November 18

After Pithoragarh and Hubli, flight operations to Kalaburagi in Karnataka will start from Hindon terminal on November 18. Star Air that has been operating flights between Hindon and Hubli will start services on the new route thrice a week. Bookings are open and the airline has said that 15% seats have been bought for the first flight.

GHAZIABAD: After Pithoragarh and Hubli, flight operations to Kalaburagi in Karnataka will start from Hindon terminal on November 18. Star Air that has been operating flights between Hindon and Hubli will start services on the new route thrice a week. Bookings are open and the airline has said that 15% seats have been bought for the first flight.
Flights on the new route will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and the minimum fare will be Rs 3,799 per passenger.
“We got permission from the civil aviation ministry recently to operate flights on the Hindon-Kalaburagi route and it has been duly informed to the Hindon terminal director that three days a week, we will operate flights on the new route,” said a Star Air spokesperson. “We opened booking about four days ago and so far, 15% of the seats have been booked.”

Since November last year, Star Air has been operating flights between Hindon and Hubli four days a week. A 50-seater Embraer 145 aircraft is being used. “The same plane would be used in the new route. From November 18, we will start services on Kalaburagi route on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays,” the spokesperson said. Flights will depart Kalaburagi at 10.20 am and reach Hindon at 12.40 pm. From Hindon, flights would take off at 1.10 pm and reach Kalaburagi at 3.30 pm. “The minimum fare is Rs 3,799,” he said.
Flights on the Hindon-Pithoragarh route started in October last year. In November, Hindon-Hubli service started. Pithoragarh services have been discontinued for now. “Due to maintenance issues, Heritage Airlines could not streamline operations and since August, when we reopened after the lockdown, not a single flight has operated on the route,” said Shobha Bhardwaj, director, Hindon civil terminal.
