Jharkhand: Left parties to support countrywide protests by workers, farmers next week

Left parties on Tuesday announced their support to the country-wide strike called by various trade and farmers' unions on November 26 and 27 against the central laws. The parties, including CPI, CPM, CPI (M-L) and the Marxist Coordination Committee (MCC), said the laws are an "attack" on the workers and the farmers of the country.

The parties, including CPI, CPM, CPI (M-L) and the Marxist Coordination Committee (MCC), said the laws are an "attack" on the workers and the farmers of the country.
Addressing media persons after a joint meeting of the Left parties, CPI state secretary Bhuwaneshwar Mehta said, “The farmers will stage agitation against the three farms laws of the Centre on November 26.
They will also stage a dharna in front of the Raj Bhavan here on November bodies and we will support them.”
In a joint statement, the parties also appealed to the people of the state to make the protests a success. We all should oppose the attacks on workers and farmers by the Centre."

The trade unions have called the strike to oppose the changes in labour laws, division of the nationalised banks and sale of shares in railways, coal, petroleum, telecommunication, steel, heavy engineering, airports and ports to private players.
