BERHAMPUR: The Ganjam administration, which had decided to shut the Tata Covid Hospital in Sitalapalli — one of the three such healthcare centres in the district — owing to a steady decline in the flow of patients, has had a change of mind. The administration will now allow only the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU) with 55 beds to function.
“We have taken this decision amid apprehensions of a second wave of infection,” district collector (Ganjam) Vijay Amruta Kulange said.
The other beds in the hospital, which has 220 beds, will be out of bounds for Covid patients.
