Hundreds gather at energy minister’s get-together in Botad

RAJKOT: Despite spiralling coronavirus cases across Gujarat, hundreds of BJP workers gathered at the Botad circuit house for ‘sneh milan’ programme presided by state energy minister Saurabh Patel.
Social distancing was clearly not visible at the event held on Sunday.
When asked about the crowd, Patel told reporters: “If people are wearing masks and maintaining social distancing, then there is no risk of infection. However, the onus to adhere to safety norms is on the people after all.”
The get-together was organized by Patel for his party workers in Botad, the constituency which he represents in the state legislative assembly.
