Education min inaugurates BHU’s faculty devpt prog
Varanasi: The Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank inaugurated the Faculty Development Programme of Institute of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University, on Social Enterprise Management including other 46 AICTE-ATAL sponsored Online Faculty development programmes through an online session from New Delhi on Monday.
Through a video message, Nishank highlighted his vision towards bringing a substantial improvement in higher education in the country.
He emphasised on the ability of teachers to shape leaders of the future in the best way for society to build positive and inspired future generations. He also shed light on how the National Education Policy-2020 is going to revamp the education system in India. He also encouraged teachers to train themselves in order to make subjects more interesting and applicable in real life, for the students.
He appreciated the role of BHU in grooming teachers of high technical intellect. He stressed on building Industry-Academia linkages for enhancement of employability of students and suggested that more Faculty Development Programmes should be organised based upon the current industry requirements. This will be beneficial for students to develop the necessary skills.
According to the university spokesperson, the Faculty Development Programme is scheduled through online mode from November 23 to 27. The programme is being attended by 200 participants from various reputed institutes of the country.
