Haryana adds 2,197 new Covid-19 cases, 42 deaths

Haryana on Wednesday recorded highest single-day Covid-19 toll of 42 fatalities and 2,197 new coronavirus cases.

CHANDIGARH: Haryana on Wednesday recorded highest single-day Covid-19 toll of 42 fatalities and 2,197 new coronavirus cases.
With this the Covid-19 tally in the state rose to 2,24,489 while death toll jumped to 2,291. As many as 1,972 coronavirus patients also got discharged during the day, taking the overall recoveries to 2,01,250.
The state now has 2,0948 active cases, including 426 serious patients who are on oxygen or ventilator support.
Notably, the state reported the recovery rate of 89.65 %. While death rate has gone up to 1.02% and positivity rate has gone up to 6.88%.
Faridabad and Panipat reported six deaths each followed by five deaths each in Rohtak and Bhiwani, three deaths each have been reported in Gurugram, Fatehabad and Hisar, two deaths each are reported in Rewari and Sirsa and one each in Ambala, Karnal, Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Yamunanangar, Jind and Nuh districts.
Highest 661 cases were reported from Gurugram where overall tally has gone up to 46,569 and 272 deaths with 6,181 active case. Faridabad reported 485 new cases taking the district's tally to 38,460 cases, 311 deaths with 3,809 active cases.
