Given the mandate to promote industrial activity along the expressway, YEIDA has been operating out of Sector Omega 1 in Greater Noida for more than a decade.
However, with several big ticket projects slated to come up in the region, the Authority has decided to pack up its bag and shift to Sector 18. Established in 2001, YEIDA practically became operative in 2009 when it launched its first plotting scheme.
“It is time to move out of here. Our investors will get a better experience and feeling if they see our office close to the expressway and the area we are developing. We also need to expand and bring more manpower on board to handle the growing demand,” said YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh.
YEIDA’s building has been planned over 6.86 acres of land parcel and will be located at a throwaway distance from the first interchange of Yamuna Expressway. YEIDA’s office will have 70% open area and will be planned with a floor area ratio of 2. “The building shall take three years to come up. A meeting with architects and consultancy companies is scheduled in the last week of December,” the CEO said.
Among the three industrial development authorities in Gautam Budh Nagar, YEIDA’s office would be the largest one. The Noida Authority is also getting a new office ready in Sector 96 over 5.93 acres. The Greater Noida Authority’s building came up in 2016 over 5.75 acres in Knowledge Park IV Sector.

YEIDA is the newest among its counterparts and its annual budget is the lowest in comparison to the other two. While the Noida and Greater Noida authorities have an annual budget of more than Rs 4,000 crore, YEIDA's annual books have been showing a turnover of Rs 1,400 to Rs 1,800 crore over the past few years.
Rishabh Nigam, secretary of Yamuna Expressway Entrepreneurs Association, who had taken a plot in Sector 32, said, “YEIDA should have set up an office in the region, which it has to develop, long back. It will leave a better impression on investors who come to see plots in the region.”
