The Chicago Bears return to action in Week 12 in need of a big upset against their biggest rival.
After limping into their off week on a four-game losing streak, the Bears face Aaron Rodgers and the first-place Green Bay Packers in prime time Sunday at Lambeau Field. Rodgers is 19-5 against the Bears, including a victory in the 2010 NFC championship game.
Rodgers has thrown for 2,889 yards and 29 touchdowns with only four interceptions this season and has an NFL-best 115.8 passer rating, leading an offense that averages 30.1 points per game.
The Bears are averaging 300.9 yards and 19.1 points per game, both 31st in the league. Can their top-10 defense contain Rodgers to help avoid their first five-game skid since 2017?

The Bears have been in this spot before as a big underdog headed to Lambeau Field. Three times since the Dick Jauron era, they have won as a touchdown underdog or more in Green Bay, most recently on Thanksgiving night 2015. They need a victory Sunday in the worst way to end a four-game losing streak and prevent from sliding just about out of the NFC playoff picture. They catch the Packers coming off a disappointing road loss to the Colts and they’re dealing with injuries as left tackle Charles Leno and defensive lineman Akiem Hicks will be game-time decisions. It’s not ideal.
Packers 27, Bears 20
Colleen Kane (7-3)
Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 941 yards and nine touchdowns with two interceptions over the Packers’ last three games. The Bears defense might be able to slow him down, but a Bears offense that has scored just four touchdowns in four games has given us no reason to think it can keep up. Might a quarterback switch back to Mitch Trubisky help? Possibly. But returning against the Packers at Lambeau Field while coming off a right shoulder injury wouldn’t be an ideal situation. The Bears will lose their fifth straight.
Packers 26, Bears 20
Dan Wiederer (8-2)
This one might not get as ugly as some of the past Bears-Packers prime-time games have. But it’s hard to imagine the Bears offense suddenly finding its groove with more reshuffling on the offensive line and Mitch Trubisky coming back into the huddle after the longest layoff of his NFL career. The Bears defense will slow Aaron Rodgers and keep the game close. But the Packers are the better team and rolling toward the NFC North crown.
