Joseph Hunte better known by his stage name ‘Calypso Joe’ has died.
Observer can confirm that he died around 7am this morning.
Calypso Joe’s song ‘Bum Bum’ became, the first homegrown road march winner in 1970.
Prior to that the Trinidad road march song was automatically recognized as the road march for Antigua.
