No BJP leader has courage to attack me by name: Abhishek Banerjee

TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee Sunday attacked BJP leaders for their “bhaipo” (nephew) jibe and dared them to take his name.

Addressing party workers in South 24 Parganas district, Banerjee, nephew of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, said, “During the Lok Sabha poll campaign, PM Narendra Modi said bhatija ka batti gul hone wala hain (nephew is set to lose the election). Now, all BJP leaders have only one thing to say: bhaipo (nephew). They don’t have the guts to take my name. Whenever anyone targeted me, I have taken legal action.”

“As a result, they are now resorting to the ‘bhaipo’ remark… If they have the guts, then they must attack me by taking my name,” said Banerjee.
