Apple MagSafe Duo charger may launch on December 21, hints Apple Reseller

According to a report by 9to5Mac, a popular store in Switzerland called Digitec Galaxus has revealed that the MagSafe Duo charger is now available for pre-orders and will start shipping starting December 21. Since the store is an Apple Authorized Reseller in the country, this date could be taken as indication that the availability of this new gadget in other markets should also follow soon.

Apple’s MagSafe Duo, the new accessory in the Apple lineup that is still yet to hit the market, but may soon be available for users.
According to a report by 9to5Mac, a popular store in Switzerland called Digitec Galaxus has revealed that the MagSafe Duo charger is now available for pre-orders and will start shipping starting December 21.
Since the store is an Apple Authorized Reseller in the country, this date could be taken as indication that the availability of this new gadget in other markets should also follow soon.

Officially, Apple hasn’t said anything about the MagSafe Duo charger launch except for “coming soon.” Even on Apple India’s official online store, the gadget is listed but the delivery is “currently unavailable.”
For those unaware, the MagSafe Duo Charger is priced in India at Rs 13,900 and is supposed to come in handy for those who would want to charge their iPhone, Apple Watch, Wireless Charging Case for AirPods, and other Qi-certified devices simultaneously.
The MagSafe Duo charger can offer a maximum output of 11W even with Apple’s own 20W USB-C adapter. Note that you will have to purchase this 20W USB-C adapter separately. If you use any other adapter then the charging can be as slow as at 6W.
