The latest episode of I'm A Celebrity has left viewers feeling 'conscious' as a game sparked a toilet debate.

In Monday night's trip to the castle, viewers will have watched Mo Farah and Giovanna Fletcher take part in the Castle Coin Challenge to win a treat for camp.

After successfully completing the challenge, the pair headed off to Kiosk Cledwyn's Ye Olde Shoppe, or Yr Hen Siop, as it is known in Welsh.

But it's the question the rest of the camp were asked in order to win the treat that has triggered a rather random debate.

They were asked what percentage of Brits said in a survey that they kept the lid of a toilet down when they flushed.

The correct answer was 43 per cent but the campmates went for a lower number and were themselves baffled by the realisation - but should they have been?

And it's affected I'm A Celeb viewers.

"Anyone else now conscious of putting the toilet seat down before you flush?! #imacelebrity," tweeted one.

Another fumed: "I'm sorry but if you don't flush the toilet with the lid down then you’re a bit of a wrongun- THAT MEANS YOU 57% OF UK TOILET GOERS, you bring shame to our country."

"WHAT?! Who doesn't flush the toilet with the lid down?! I always have... If you leave the lid open then some water comes out. Anyone who flushes the toilet with the lid up is disgusting," agreed a third.

A fourth also commented: "Right who are these people who flush the toilet with the lid down?!? I'm losing faith in humanity.

But others didn't agree.

"Which weirdos flush the toilet with the lid down?! #imacelebrity," questioned a viewer.

Another said: "43% of people put the seat down when they flush the toilet. Sorry but no chance."

"43% of people flush with the toilet seat down! Really??" quizzed a third.

Various polls also sprung up across social media. But we think we'll leave it at that.
