I'm A Celebrity's Giovanna Fletcher and Vernon Kay won eight stars for camp during Tuesday night's challenge Cart-astrophy.

Instead of the usual meals for camp, however, the pair were playing for pub grub for the campmates to enjoy at the Castle Inn.

After two weeks of rice and beans and questionable meals, the contestants were overjoyed to be getting out of camp for some decent food and drink elsewhere in Gwrych Castle.

Talking in the Telegraph, Jordan North said: "Oh my god, what a beautiful Christmassy sight, tinsel up, chairs out, a bar, Christmas trees, Christmas decs and most importantly there was pies and peas….pies and peas."

The Radio One DJ was also elated after enjoying some Guinness before the celebrities took part in a karaoke session.

But the segment left viewers feeling jealous, as many people across the UK can't currently visit the pub due to current coronavirus measures.

The situation varies per nation and local area, with those in Tier 3 in England unable to visit bars, pubs and restaurants.

A social media user tweeted: "So in true 2020 fashion, camp is actually a place I would rather be than stuck at home. They get to hug and go to a pub with friends."

"Gotta love how they're showing the celebs going to a pub when we can't even go to one, that's just well mean," wrote one fan.

Another added: "Is #ImaCeleb trying to make the entire nation cry? I wanna go to a pub."

And a fourth commented: "I've never been more jealous of people going to a fake pub."

While a fifth wrote: "Fuming they get to go to pub and I don't."

Others warned the celebrities to make the most of it while they could, while others admitted they were "livid" over the segment.

In Wales, the rules currently permit groups of up to four to have alcohol together in pubs and restaurants, however, this will officially change on Friday, December 4.

The Welsh Government announced this week that alcohol will be banned from those premises and they will also have to close at 6pm. You can read more about the new rules for the hospitality industry here.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! will continue tonight at 9pm on ITV.
