BLOOD CONNECTION DOT ORG THE JASMINE KITCHEN OFF. AUGUSTA STREET HAS NOW REOPENED AFTER BEING CLOSED AMID COVID-19. THEY’RE SERVING LUNCH FOR CURBSIDE TO GO DELIVERY CATERING FROM 11 A.M. TO 2:30, BUT YOU MAY NOT KNOW THIS JASMINE KITCHEN IS NOT JUST A RESTAURANT. THIS IS A CAUSE IT HELPS SUPPORT THE HUMANITY OF JASMINE ROAD. JASMINE ROAD IS A TWO YEAR RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM FOR WOMEN THAT HAVE SURVIVED HUMAN TRAFFICKING PROSTITUTION AND ADDICTION AND THE WOMEN COME TO US AND ONE OF THE ISSUES THAT THEY HAVE IS BEING ABLE TO BE GAINFULLY EMPLOYED IN A SUSTAINABLE JOB. SO JASMINE KITCHEN WAS CREATED AS WELL AS ALL OF OUR SOCIAL ENTERPRISES WERE CREATED TO PROVIDE SAFE AND SUSTAINABLE EMPLOYMENT FOR THE WOMEN THAT COME THROUGH THE JASMINE ROAD PROGRAM WHEN THEY GRADUATE THEY DON’T LOSE THEIR JOBS SO THEY CONTINUE WORKING WITH US. THERE IS ALSO AN ONLINE STORE WITH PRODUCTS ALL HAND MADE BY HUMAN TRAFFICKING SURVIVORS. YOU CAN

Jasmine Kitching off Augusta Street in Greenville has now reopened for lunch after being closed amid COVID 19. The lunch restaurant is open from 11-2:30pm, Monday through Friday. Beth Massick is the Executive Director of Jasmine Road an organization that helps women escape human trafficking. "Jasmine Road is a two-year residential program for women that have survived human trafficking prostitution and addiction the women come to us and one of the issues that they have is being able to be gainfully employed in a sustainable job. So Jasmine kitchen was created as well as all of our social enterprises, were created to provide safe and sustainable employment for the women that come through the Jasmine Road program and when they graduate they don’t lose their jobs so they can continue working with us." Beth explained.So Jasmine Kitchen serves much more than food it serves a mission. The restaurant closed for a short time amid COVID 19 but is now reopen and ready to continue to help these survivors and serve food safely during this pandemic. "You can order from Jasmin Kitchen online through our website or you can call in and come pick up curbside you can come in and order and take it to go with you so we have a chef driven menu with a head chef and a sous chef so the menu changes and it is seasonal and we also do a lot of local sourcing for the food," Beth explained. Jasmine Road also has an online store where they sell items that survivors make including candles, bracelets, honey, cookies, peppermint bark, granola, coffee, and much more. "So every purchase that you make whether it is lunch at Jasmine kitchen or one of our social enterprise products it helps a woman regain her life and so that is what is one of the neat things that I think about our program with the social enterprise products that we created is that women come to the program and they can feel good about themselves and they can create and make things that people are interested in purchasing but each purchase that you may get Jasmine kitchen helps our residential program and helps women get back on their feet," said Beth.To shop the online store or to donate to Jasmine Road go to their website.
