Why counting of votes is delayed in many centres
Counting of regular ballot votes delayed in most of the 30 counting centres.
Delays in counting and delay in results of first round are being attributed to shifting to ballot voting system from the electronic voting machines after 18 years.
The last ballot voting was conducted in 2002 for the Hyderabad urban polls.
The teachers, who were well trained and experienced in several elections including the ballot papers, were kept away from poll duties this time.
Bundling of ballot votes is still going in majority of the counting centres, amid frequent objections and clarifications being raised by the election agents representing political parties.
