Opening Segment Featuring Roman Reigns, Jey Uso and Kevin Owens

It’s finally getting to the point where Roman Reigns is asking too much of his cousin Jey.

Kevin Owens is foolish to challenge Roman Reigns to a TLC match knowing all the outside interference that can come from all sides of the table.

Natalya def. Bayley

Bianca Belair was very poised on commentary, and I think her eyeglasses had more jewelry than both women in the ring combined.

I was absolutely shocked by this finish. It was clean, Bayley tapped out and Bianca Belair didn’t even come close to interfering until she was already locked into the hold. WWE better not be getting cute and trying out a Bayley losing streak, what good is that going to do Bianca Belair?

Daniel Bryan, Rey Mysterio and Big E def. Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode—Pat Patterson Tribute Match

As a Tribute Match to Pat Patterson, there really was no way the babyfaces were going to lose this one.

Big E returned to his old singles theme music and even broke out the baby powder as his singles push resumed.

Michael Cole connected Rey Mysterio to Pat Patterson because they were both former Intercontinental champions, but the real connection is Pat Patterson reportedly vouching for Rey Mysterio to win the World Heavyweight Championship in 2006 when Vince McMahon was inexplicably wavering on it.

Sasha Banks and Carmella comer Face to Face

At one point, Carmella called Sasha Banks a Nikki Minaj wannabe and Sasha Banks’ comeback was “I’ve heard that before.”

Sasha Banks was so obnoxious throughout this segment. Banks is a great character, but it only knows one speed: cocky heel.

When Carmella said “let’s get personal,” I thought it was only a matter of time before we’d be hearing Corey Graves’ name during this segment.

This was exactly what this feud needed. Neither of these women came off like a babyface, but they did a good job making it seem like they legitimately did not like one another, which is half the battle.

King Corbin def. Murphy

Murphy came out with the Mysterios yet again, thereby officially making King Corbin the de facto babyface.

This match was a choice between the team with hooded goons or the team with the brother in law in a fuchsia turtleneck.

King Corbin’s goons were identified as Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake from The Forgotten Sons. Conspicuous by his absence was Jason Ryker.

Otis and Kevin Owens def. Roman Reigns and Jey Uso by DQ

Roman Reigns showing up late to this match telegraphed Jey would be taking yet another loss.

Kevin Owens continued to remain disrespectful by using the Samoan Drop right in front of Roman Reigns.

Roman Reigns ordering Jey Uso to step down from the top turnbuckle was so humiliating for Jey’s character but also so funny.

Roman Reigns is so good at being a terrifying heel. Reigns vs. Owens figures to be brutal.
