Zhu Yufeng, the son of Chinese solar energy billionaire Zhu Gongshan, will become president of  Hong Kong-listed independent power producer GCL New Energy Holdings effective Monday, Dec. 7, the company said in a statement on Friday.

Zhu Yufeng, 38,  is already an executive director of GCL-Poly Energy Holdings, which owns 62% of GCL New Energy Holdings.   His father, who has a fortune worth $2.3 billion on today’s Forbes Real-Time Billionaires List, owns about 32% of GCL-Poly.

The younger Zhu,  a graduate of George Brown College of Toronto,  is currently chairman of GCL New Energy Holdings.

It’s also home to the world’s second-biggest group of billionaires after the United States.
