Fraud

WILLMAR – A complaint was filed at 8:21 a.m. Friday in the 3000 block of 30th Street Southwest in Willmar of a scam involving a false rental ad.

SPICER – An individual in the 200 block of Lake Avenue South in Spicer filed a report at 6:49 p.m. Thursday about a theft by swindle from someone claiming to be from Microsoft.

WILLMAR – At 3:16 p.m. Thursday an individual in the 500 block of Lakeland Drive Southeast reported a potential scam. According to the complaint, they had given someone money for a new puppy and were now concerned it was fraudulent.

Deer on ice

WILLMAR – After responding to a call at 4:19 p.m. Thursday regarding seeing something in the water on Long Lake, located just north of Willmar, law enforcement determined there were four deer laying on the ice and one deer had broken through the ice and was no longer alive.

Vandalism

WILLMAR – At 5:08 a.m. Friday an individual in the 200 block of 28th Street Southeast in Willmar filed a police report that indicated that all the tires on their truck had been slashed by a former girlfriend.

WILLMAR – A complaint was filed at 4:39 p.m. Thursday that a vehicle tire was slashed while the owner was in a business in the 300 block of Fifth Street Southeast in Willmar.

Arrest

WILLMAR – A 31-year-old man was arrested on unspecified charges and another individual was cited for underage consumption during an incident reported at 11:25 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of 28th Avenue Southeast in Willmar.
